Christine Mabuni

Christine Mabuni is a public educator who has been serving the students of Hawaii for the past 14 years. She has taught 6th grade and is currently teaching English Learners. Inspired by Ka Hui Heluhelu workshops, she joined the programs committee, and then the board to sustain the organization’s work, to empower teachers with next practices. Lessons learned from distinguished and inspiring past speakers shape who she is as an educator. These Ka Hui workshops have left lasting impressions on her, and it is her desire to perpetuate the impact, to continue to share powerful practices by such distinguished literacy leaders through Ka Hui Heluhelu’s work. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
